Before you start
How to get your Instagram data ZIP
Instagram prepares it in a few minutes. Ask only for followers and following, in JSON format, then import it here without unzipping it.
- In Instagram, open Accounts Centre, then Your information and permissions and Export your information.
- Create an export and choose Export to device. Under Customize information, keep only Followers and following.
- Set Date range to All time and Format to JSON, then start the export. Complete any confirmation in Instagram.
- Wait until Instagram notifies you that the export is ready, then download and save the ZIP.
- In the app, choose Select ZIP to import it without unzipping it.

What will I see after my first import?
Who doesn't follow you back, plus your follower and following counts. Instagram's export doesn't include past unfollows, so import a newer export later to see exactly who unfollowed you.
Do I need to sign in with Instagram?
No. You do not enter an Instagram password or connect an account. You only select the official data export you downloaded.
Does my Instagram ZIP leave my device?
No. Your browser reads the ZIP locally. It is not uploaded to a server.
Is it free?
Yes. There's no account to create and nothing to pay.
How long does Instagram take to prepare the export?
Usually a few minutes. Instagram notifies you when the ZIP is ready to download.
